Quick answer: Buy the AtomStack A10 Pro V2 if your first jobs are engraving, small gifts, and thin stock. Buy the AtomStack A20 Pro V2 if you also need common thin-sheet cutting. That split is AtomStack’s own, not a dealer rewrite.
On 12 September 2026 AtomStack published a three-machine guide for buyers under USD 500: A10 Pro V2, A20 Pro V2, and A24 Pro. Makerish is AtomStack’s exclusive authorized dealer for Europe, and we only sell the live catalog. This article is the European edition of that official comparison: same machine facts, euro prices with VAT included, German dispatch, and no buy button for the A24 Pro (it is not in our exclusive line).
Prices below are Makerish Machine Only variants as listed on 18 September 2026. Specs are copied from AtomStack product pages the same day. If a listing shows a much bigger watt number than 10W or 20W, read input power and output power as two rows — both are printed on the official specification table.

*Official “Maximum Wood / Acrylic Processing” figures on the AtomStack product pages, 18 September 2026 — not Makerish lab tests. Speed is the motion-system ceiling; actual settings depend on material and quality, as AtomStack notes in the same article.
What “10W” and “20W” actually mean

AtomStack prints two power rows. On the A10 Pro V2 that is input 50W / output 10W. On the A20 Pro V2 that is input 120W / output 20W. The output number is the optical class AtomStack uses in the under-$500 guide. The input number is why some marketplaces look “bigger” than the name on the box.
A 20W machine is not automatically twice as fast as a 10W machine. AtomStack’s FAQ on that article is direct: material, spot size, focus, air assist, speed, passes, and quality standards all change total time. The A10 also has the finer listed spot (0.06 × 0.08 mm vs 0.08 × 0.10 mm), which matters more for small gifts and fine engraving than the watt headline.
If you later need thicker plywood or daily cutting, the next live machine on Makerish is the A40 Pro V2, not a jump you have to invent from the nameplate.
A10 Pro V2: gifts, first pieces, thin stock
AtomStack’s 12 September 2026 article positions the A10 Pro V2 as a practical starting point for engraving wood blanks, paperboard, opaque thin materials, and small personalised products. That is the right machine if you want a first piece tonight, a classroom project, or a stall of tags and coasters while you still prove the idea.
The same article says a lower machine price is a poor deal if thick wood is your core order: extra passes, machine time, and a later upgrade eat the saving. Official capabilities on the A10 page list 12 mm wood and 10 mm acrylic as maximum processing figures. Cutting materials listed: cardboard, non-woven fabric, wood, black acrylic, thin plastic sheets, sponge. Engraving materials include wood, leather, anodised aluminium, coated metals, dark glass, ceramics, and slate.
Makerish Machine Only is €378.99 including VAT (18 September 2026). Other live variants on the same product: Basic Bundle €397.99, Roller Bundle €626.99, Chuck Bundle €667.99, All in 1 Bundle €776.99.

A20 Pro V2: engraving plus common thin-sheet cutting
AtomStack’s product page (and the same News article) puts the A20 Pro V2 at 20W output, a 400 × 365 mm working area, a 0.08 × 0.10 mm spot, and up to 400 mm/s. Compared with 10W, they recommend it when the workflow mixes engraving and common thin-sheet cutting — side-business coasters, signs, and small-batch gifts you actually sell, or a hobby that already includes cutting, not only marking.
Official capabilities on the A20 page list 17 mm wood and 15 mm acrylic. Cutting materials add thin steel plate to the cardboard / wood / black acrylic list. Both machines are open-frame diode units. AtomStack tells you to budget enclosure, exhaust or filtration, honeycomb, air assist, and fire safety separately. Those line items often dwarf the gap between the two machine prices.
Makerish Machine Only is €543.99 including VAT (18 September 2026). Air Bundle €580.99. Rotary Bundle €715.99.

Which one if you are not opening a shop?
You do not have to be a business to buy either machine. If the job is a first gift, a name on a cutting board, or weekend tinkering, start with the A10 Pro V2 unless you already know you will cut thin sheet every week. If the job is paid work or a stall, write down the three products you will actually make — material, thickness, outer size, monthly units — then pick against the hardest of those three. That three-step filter is AtomStack’s, and it still works in Europe.
- Write the top three products (material, thickness, size, monthly units).
- Filter with the hardest material. Use AtomStack’s listed capabilities, then test a same-batch sample in a safe setup.
- Price the workstation, not only the frame: machine, honeycomb, air assist, enclosure, exhaust, software, spares.
On Makerish the matching live accessories include the F30 air assist, F80 air assist, and F2N honeycomb. Rotary options if you mark tumblers: R6, R8, R3 Pro.
Europe layer: what Makerish adds (and what we do not copy)

AtomStack.com prices in that article were USD $229 (A10) and $329 (A20) on 12 September 2026. Those are global-site figures. They are not Makerish checkout. We do not copy US warehouse timing or dollar promotions.
On the live A10 and A20 pages Makerish currently states: VAT-inclusive euro pricing; free shipping in Germany; €9.90 to other EU countries; dispatch from the nearest regional warehouse within 48 hours; EU plug included; 30-day returns in original packaging; 14-day price guarantee against the same machine elsewhere. Warranty on new AtomStack units is handled here as the European dealer, not by posting the machine back to a global HQ shop. We are the exclusive authorized dealer for this live line — not the Official AtomStack store.
The A24 Pro appears in AtomStack’s under-$500 article. It is not in Makerish’s exclusive European catalog, so there is no purchase link here. If you need more cutting than 20W, look at the live A40 Pro V2 or A70 Max instead.
How to choose in one screen
| If this is the job | Start here |
|---|---|
| Gifts, tags, fine engraving, prove the idea | A10 Pro V2 |
| Engrave and cut thin sheet in the same week | A20 Pro V2 |
| Thicker wood / daily cutting | A40 Pro V2 (live line), not A24 |
| Still deciding on watt labels | Read input and output on the spec table; 20W ≠ 2× 10W speed |
Frequently asked questions
What is the clearest difference between the A10 Pro V2 and A20 Pro V2?
AtomStack: the A10 Pro V2 is an entry point for engraving, small items, and thin materials. The A20 Pro V2’s 20W output better covers both engraving and common thin-sheet cutting. In Europe those two machines are the ones Makerish actually stocks from that comparison.
Is 20W always twice as fast as 10W?
No. AtomStack’s FAQ says material, spot size, focus, air assist, speed, passes, and quality standards all affect total time. Both machines list a 400 mm/s maximum speed; that is a motion ceiling, not a promise that 20W finishes in half the minutes.
Why does one listing say 50W or 120W and the name say 10W or 20W?
The official specification tables list input power and output power as separate rows (50W / 10W on the A10; 120W / 20W on the A20). Use both rows. Do not treat a marketplace “electrical” headline as a different machine class.
Will I pay import VAT at the door if I buy from Makerish?
Checkout on Makerish is in euro with VAT included. The live product pages state free shipping in Germany and €9.90 to other EU countries, with dispatch from the regional warehouse within 48 hours. Grey listings that look cheaper often omit that landed cost.
Do I need air assist on day one?
AtomStack treats air assist, honeycomb, enclosure, and exhaust as workstation cost, not optional trivia. If you will cut, budget them with the machine. Makerish sells the live F30 / F80 sets and honeycomb beds on the same shop.
